Getting A Better Job
When we get a better job, we always think we would be rich. If Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg lost their money, i guarantee that finding a great job would not be their priority. They would be looking for an investment.
“Oh if i just had a better job, if i could just get that promotion, i would be rich” No, you would not be rich; you would only make more money. I know a lot of people who are on six figure salary, who if they sold everything they have, their net worth would be under a few hundred thousand dollars. Yes they have the big car, big house, and all perks of life. Yet they are not wealthy.

Purpose Of Your Job
The wealthy saw their jobs as a tool to get money to invest. But most of us saw our jobs as a tool to get stuff. When i got my first job, with an insurance company as a marketer, i told myself, “i just needed to work for 5 years, and am done working for someone else but to work for myself” I struggled with that decision, because every time i had reasons to keep on getting the salary, and was sacred to face the unknown.
I was tempted to be buying stuffs, and didn’t invest my money. Don’t get me wrong, i am not saying buying good things is wrong, but if you want to be wealthy, you invest first before buying stuff.
You are probably making far more than when you started your job right now, you ask yourself, where is the money? What did you do with the raise you have been getting so far? Bigger car? A bigger TV, or other frivolities. Unless you change your thinking, it will not matter how much money you make, you will never become wealthy.
If Dangote lost all his money, he would not go looking for a great job to make his billions. He might get a job, but the purpose of the job would be to give him money to invest . That is the purpose of your job. To the wealthy person, the job is there strictly to maintain your current living situation, while giving you much money to invest as possible, because it will be the investing that produces wealth , not the job.
Having a job is a great deal, but if you want to become wealthy, you should start seeing your job as a stepping stone to acquire money to invest. Unfortunately, not all has the mind of a billionaire, but desires to become wealthy. Nevertheless, you can still achieve your dream, if you could employ someone or team to manage your fund. And you have close monitoring.
